WE’RE FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD & ALL KINDS OF BACKGROUNDS
For 26 years, we’ve welcomed participants and staff from a very wide variety of cultures. Most people think of “culture” as a group’s shared language, values, customs, and beliefs. But it’s also their:
- Worldviews, ways of communicating, and ways of acquiring knowledge.
- Race and ethnicity, religion, social class, language, disability, sexual orientation, age, and gender identity.
- Geographic region of origin, and the socioeconomic circumstances they were raised in.
Our encounters with so many facets of human experience have shaped our trainings profoundly. It’s enabled us to create a supportive, accepting environment that is essential for the deep levels of healing we aspire to. You are welcome here.
HISTORY OF THE H.I.S. WEEKEND
The H.I.S. Weekend was developed by the H.E.R. Weekend Organization, founded in 2002. Our H.E.R. Weekends are staffed by an all-gender team. Often, we would hear from the men staff that they wanted to attend the H.E.R. Weekend as participants because they had found the training to be so powerful and transformative.

We heard the call! Ten H.E.R. community members got together and created the H.I.S. Weekend. We spent about a year and half creating this training. Many hours and days were spent discussing content, working in small groups, and writing protocols. We started with what works for men from the H.E.R. Weekend, and created new content that addresses men specifically. The collaboration paid off and we created a training that provides deep healing for men. We presented the prototype in May 2024 and our first public training in December 2024. We look forward to providing this training for those that identify as men for many years to come. Join us and experience the magic for yourself!
